moto g max launched in India at Rs. 27,999 with 6.72-inch FHD+ display, Snapdragon 6s Gen 4 SoC, 7000mAh battery
Motorola has launched its latest smartphone in the ‘g series’, the moto g max in India, following its earlier announcement. The smartphone focuses on battery capacity, display performance, durability, and updated hardware.
The device features a 7,000mAh silicon-carbon battery, a 50MP Sony LYTIA camera sensor, and comes with Android 16 pre-installed.
Design and Build Durability
The moto g max brings a satin-textured finish to the G-series lineup, designed to minimize the appearance of fingerprints and smudges. It is available in three Pantone-curated colors: Stargazer, Alaskan Blue, and Malaga.
Motorola has also incorporated multiple durability features into the device:
- Glass Protection: The front panel is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 7i for improved resistance against scratches and accidental drops.
- Environmental Resistance: The phone carries an SGS-certified IP64 rating for protection against dust and water splashes.
- Structural Durability: It complies with MIL-STD-810H standards for resistance to shocks and vibrations.
Display and Audio
The smartphone sports a 6.72-inch Full HD+ LCD screen with a 120Hz refresh rate and up to 1,050 nits of peak brightness in High Brightness Mode. Motorola’s “Water Touch” technology enables the capacitive touch panel to remain responsive even when the display or user’s hands are wet.
For audio, the moto g max comes with stereo speakers featuring Dolby Atmos tuning, Hi-Res Audio support, and dual microphones. It also retains a 3.5mm headphone jack.
Camera Specifications
The rear camera setup is led by a 50-megapixel primary sensor and is supported by a range of imaging and AI-based features.

- Software Integration: Google Photos AI tools are integrated into the camera experience, including Magic Eraser, Photo Unblur, Reimagine, Auto Frame, and Portrait Light adjustment.
Performance and Hardware
The moto g max is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 6s Gen 4 processor, based on a 4nm manufacturing process. The chipset is paired with LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 3.1 storage.
- Memory and Storage: LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 3.1 internal storage.
- Virtual RAM: Motorola’s RAM Boost feature can use available internal storage as virtual memory to support multitasking.

One of the key highlights of the moto g max is its 7,000mAh silicon-carbon battery. The silicon-carbon battery technology enables higher energy density while maintaining the phone’s form factor.
- Charging Speed: The battery supports 33W wired charging through Motorola’s TurboPower technology.
- Longevity: The battery is rated to retain its standard operating capacity for up to 1,000 charge cycles.
Software, Security, and Updates
