Micromax Unite 2 A106 to get Android 5.0 Lollipop update starting April 7th

Micromax today announced that it will start rolling out Android 5.0 Lollipop for the Unite 2 A106, starting April 7th. MediaTek has ported the Lollipop base for the MT6582 chipsets and therefore you will be seeing a lot of Indian manufacturers updating their devices to Android 5.0 Lollipop. We reviewed it back when it was launched and found it to be a good challenge to the original Moto E.

The Lollipop update for the Unite 2 will be available over-the-air (OTA) starting gradually from 7th April onwards. It will bring enhanced notifications, new animations, lockscreen notifications, better security and battery-life as well.
