Quadrant Benchmark Comparison

We got the highest score of 8803 on Quadrant, which is even higher than the Moto G but that's due to the lower-resolution display. Nevertheless, its considerably higher than the Moto E.

AnTuTu Benchmark Comparison

AnTuTu gave another great score to the Micromax Unite 2 A106 with 17914 which is again the highest of the bunch including the Moto E, Iris 406Q and the Titanium S1 Plus.

NenaMark 2 Benchmark Comparison

We got a whopping 63.4 FPS on NenaMark 2, needless to say high-end games will be easily playable on the Unite 2 if app and app-data are movable to the SD card.

Vellamo HTML5 Benchmark Comparison

We got 1924 on the Vellamo HTML5 test and you can see that its an excellent score as well, but we did not include the Moto E in this test as its web-core still is incompatible with the tests.

Vellamo Metal Benchmark Comparison

On Metal, the Micromax Unite 2 again proved its mettle with the highest score of 577 beating the Moto E's 483.

Linpack Single-thread Benchmark Comparison

On Linpack single thread test we got 112.07 which is again the highest of the group.

Linpack Multi-thread Benchmark Comparison

The multi-thread test gave the same result with a high-score of 250.99.

Multi-touch Test

The multi-touch test result was a bit disappointing as the Micromax Unite 2 A106 supports just 2 points of touch in its display, while the Moto E has a 5-point multi-touch display.

Conclusion

Micromax needed a big win to combat the rise of the Moto E. The Unite 2 A106 comes with good build quality, excellent specs for the price as well as great performance, as we just saw. It beat the Moto E in every benchmark test with margin to spare. Even in general use the Unite 2 performs quite well, there is no hiccup anywhere while going through the interface, opening apps or multitasking.

What remains to be seen is how these benchmark scores translate into real-world performance in gaming, camera use as well as general tasks. We will be back soon with the Gaming Review of the Unite 2, till then stay tuned to PhoneBunch.
