LG Q6 with bezel-less 5.5-inch FullVision display launched for Rs. 14,990 but its missing one key feature
LG has just launched its Q6 smartphone in India. It features an 18:9 aspect ratio FullVision 5.5-inch FHD+ display along with facial recognition and military grade protection. The display is similar to what you get on the LG G6 but lower in resolution.
It runs on the Snapdragon 435 octa-core processor with Adreno 505 GPU, 3GB RAM and 32GB onboard storage. LG has also packed the Q6 with the latest Android 7.1.1 Nougat build. The dual-SIM variant launched in India gets a 13MP rear camera with LED flash along with a 5MP front camera which uses a 100-degree wide-angle lens.
As I was saying earlier, the LG Q6 is rated for protection against drops with MIL-STD 810G certification. It is not dust or water resistant though. Connectivity options include dual-SIM 4G VoLTE support, Bluetooth 4.2, WiFi, GPS and USB OTG as well.
The LG Q6 is missing a very important feature - a fingerprint sensor.
LG has added facial recognition for security on the phone, but it's missing a fingerprint sensor. This would be a huge bummer for people looking to buy this phone. The specs on the phone are still quite competitive and the full-screen experience would have been a great crowd pleaser. But without a fingerprint sensor, which has become very commonplace now, the LG Q6 is a tough sell even with great pricing.
The LG Q6 comes in Astro Black, Ice Platinum, and Terra Gold color options and has been priced at Rs. 14,990. It will be available exclusively from Amazon.in starting tomorrow, August 10th. There's one-time free screen replacement on offer as well within 6 months of purchase along with additional 50GB data for Jio users.
