Lenovo Vibe P1 with 5000 mAh battery and P1m with 4000 mAh battery announced
Lenovo just didn't have massive smartphone/tablet hybrid devices to show off at IFA 2015 but also some with massive batteries. The Lenovo Vibe P1 comes with a 5,000 mAh battery while the Vibe P1m makes do with a 4,000 mAh battery. Moreover you can use these smartphones to charge other devices using the OTG charge function.
Talking about specs, the Lenovo Vibe P1 features a 5.5-inch 1080p display running on the Snapdragon 615 octa-core processor with 2GB RAM, 32GB inboard storage which is expandable with a microSD card. The Vibe P1 also gets 13MP rear and 5MP front cameras. You have dual-SIM 4G LTE support with Android 5.1 Lollipop running the show. Even with that massive 5000 mAh battery, the Vibe P1 is seems quite svelte at 189 grams.
The Lenovo Vibe P1m seems relatively small with its 5-inch HD display. It uses a mediatek processor to power the innards with 2GB RAM and 16GB in-built storage. Coming to the camera department, you have a 5MP front-shooter just like the P1 but a downgraded 8MP shooter at the back. It also supports 4G LTE bands in various regions, WiFi, Bluetooth 4.1 LE and GPS.
The Lenovo Vibe P1 will be available in Graphite Grey, Gold and Platinum color options while the P1m will come in the more classic Onyx Black and Pearl White shades. The Vibe P1, available October, has been priced at US $279 while the P1m will run you down US $159 when it becomes available later in September.
