Lenovo Phab 2 Pro Project Tango smartphone goes official with four cameras
Lenovo has unveiled its first Project Tango Augmented Reality smartphone, the Phab 2 Pro with four cameras. It will be available in September for $499 unlocked.
The Phab 2 Pro is the first Google Project Tango smartphone which would be commercially available. It comes with three rear cameras, one depth sensing camera, one motion sensing camera and a normal 16MP camera to capture images with a fish-eye lens. In the front you have the fourth camera, an 8MP sensor for selfies. With the AR technology built into the smartphone you can map indoors, measure your surroundings and even recognize places. There are a plethora of sensors on the device which makes its spatially aware.
It runs on the Snapdragon 652 with Android 6.0 Marshmallow running the innards. The Lenovo Phab 2 Pro has a 6.4-inch Quad-HD display (2560x1440 Pixels), with 4GB RAM, 64GB onboard storage. It also has a massive 4050 mAh battery. It also has a fingerprint sensor at the back and Dolby 5.1 surround sound capture built into the device.
The Lenovo Phab 2 Pro has been priced at $499 and will be available in September in the US from best Buy.
