Lava Virat Curve launched in India at Rs. 23,999 with 6.67-inch FHD+ 120Hz curved AMOLED display, Mini Display, Dimensity 7100 SoC
Lava has officially launched its latest smartphone in the Virat series, the Lava Virat Curve, in India. The new handset brings a curved display design and a secondary rear screen to the mid-range segment, while also focusing on distinctive styling and long battery life.
Design and Display
The Lava Virat Curve sports a 6.67-inch 3D curved AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and up to 1,100 nits of peak brightness. The phone features symmetrical curves on both the front and rear panels, designed to offer a more comfortable grip.
The rear panel features a vegan leather texture and is offered in two main finishes: Heritage Indigo and Makrana Ivory. For added durability, the handset carries an IP64 rating for protection against dust and splashes, along with MIL-STD-810H military-grade durability compliance.
Rear “Mini Display” Feature
One of the key highlights of the Virat Curve is its secondary “Mini Display”, positioned alongside the rear camera module. The additional screen is designed to provide quick access to information and controls without requiring users to interact with the primary display.
It can be used for incoming call alerts and notifications, music playback controls, battery percentage and charging indicators, as well as displaying custom text, time, and emojis.
Hardware and Performance
Powering the device is the MediaTek Dimensity 7100 processor, paired with 6GB of RAM and support for virtual RAM expansion. The smartphone comes with 128GB of internal storage.
The handset packs a 6,000mAh battery with support for 45W wired fast charging. A 33W charger is included in the box.
Cameras and Software
The Lava Virat Curve features a dual rear camera setup led by a 50MP primary sensor based on the Sony IMX752, along with EIS and an LED flash. The camera supports video recording at up to 2K resolution at 30fps.
For selfies and video calls, the smartphone features a 13MP front-facing camera housed within a punch-hole cutout.
On the software front, the device runs a clean version of Android 16. Lava has promised two major Android OS updates and three years of security patches. A future software update (SMR) is also expected to introduce a refreshed Lava UI, a native Gallery application, and updated Vayu AI capabilities.
