Lava SHARK 2 5G launched in India for Rs. 11,999 with 6.75-inch 120Hz display, 6000mAh battery
Lava has launched its latest budget-friendly 5G smartphone, the SHARK 2 5G in India, following a series of teasers. The device succeeds one of the company’s best-selling smartphone lineups from 2025 and is aimed at users looking for enhanced features at an affordable price point.
Design and Display
The SHARK 2 5G sports a 6.75-inch (17.13cm) HD+ display with a 120Hz refresh rate, offering smoother scrolling and improved animation performance. Lava claims the display is optimized for long usage, delivering up to 13 hours and 35 minutes of YouTube playback or around 12 hours and 23 minutes of continuous screen-on time.
For improved durability, the smartphone comes with an IP64 rating, protecting against dust and water splashes. It will be available in two color variants: Sonar Gold and Arya Blue.
Performance, Hardware, and Battery
The smartphone is powered by the octa-core 6nm UNISOC T8200 processor. According to Lava, the chipset scores over 500,000 points on the AnTuTu v11 benchmark, making it suitable for everyday multitasking and entertainment needs.

Pricing and Availability
The Lava SHARK 2 5G is priced at Rs. 11,999 and will go on sale across Lava’s retail outlets in India starting June 10, 2026. The company will also introduce multiple consumer finance offers at launch.
