iQOO has started teasing its upcoming samrtphone in the iQOO Neo series that will launch on December 20th in China after rumors. This should be the iQOO neo 5s that surfaced recently and could be launched as Neo 6 in other markets, according to the earlier rumors. The recent leaks confirmed the iQOO neo 5s name which will be the successor of iQOO Neo5 that was launched back in March. The company also confirmed that this phone will be the first iQOO phone based on the company’s latest OriginOS Ocean.
The Google Play Developer console reveals the model number V2154A and a Full HD+ (2400×1080 pixels) screen with a center punch-hole, same as the predecessor, so we can expect an AMOLED screen with an under-display fingerprint scanner. The new leaks also revealed that the phone will feature an 8GB RAM version with 4GB of virtual RAM. Last rumors revealed a 48MP IMX598 primary rear camera and will support 66W fast charging as per the 3C certification. The company is also expected to announce a cheaper model iQOO Neo5 SE that could be powered by a Snapdragon 778G+ SoC with the same 66W fast charging.
Other specifications of the phones are not revealed yet, but we should know more details and the full specifications of the phone in the coming weeks before the phones go official later this month.
