Samsung Display and iQOO Announce “Samsung Everest” 2K 165Hz Display for iQOO 16 with up to 10,000 nits peak brightness
At a joint screen technology communication conference held earlier today, Samsung Display and iQOO announced their most advanced technical partnership to date, unveiling the “Samsung Display × iQOO Future Display Exploration Plan.”
The first product to emerge from this collaboration will be featured on the upcoming flagship iQOO 16, the successor to the iQOO 15. The smartphone is expected to launch toward the end of September.
Dubbed the “Samsung Everest” display, the new panel marks the Android debut of Samsung Display’s M16 luminescent material. It is also claimed to be the world’s first smartphone display to combine a 2K resolution with a 165Hz refresh rate.
New technical promotional materials released by the companies reveal an extensive set of display specifications covering brightness, color accuracy, touch responsiveness, power efficiency, and eye-care technologies.
