iQOO 15R teased in India, launch expected in February with Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 SoC, 200MP camera

iQOO has begun teasing the launch of the company’s next premium smartphone in the iQOO 15 series, the iQOO 15R in India, following the launch of the iQOO 15 last year. The teaser, shared by iQOO India CEO Nipun Marya, carries the tagline “Power that fits just right” and offers a glimpse of the phone’s rear design, showcasing a checkered pattern finish, a metal frame, and a dual rear camera setup.

The design closely resembles the iQOO Z11 Turbo, which was introduced in China earlier this month. Based on this, the iQOO 15R is expected to feature a 6.59-inch 1.5K AMOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate, be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 processor, and come equipped with a 200MP primary camera, an 8MP ultra-wide camera, and a 32MP front camera.

Other expected features include an in-display 3D ultrasonic fingerprint sensor, IP68 and IP69 ratings for dust and water resistance, and a massive 7,600mAh battery with support for 100W fast charging.

As with other iQOO smartphones, the iQOO 15R will be sold in India via Amazon.in as well as the iQOO India online store. The device is expected to launch sometime in February, and more details, including the exact launch date, should be revealed in the coming weeks.
