Huawei Pocket 2 flip Image Surfaced Online with Circular OLED Display, and three Color Variants

Last year, Huawei introduced two horizontally foldable devices, namely the Mate X3 and Mate X5, but there was no vertical foldable in their lineup – the most recent being the Huawei Pocket S from late 2022. However, a new model is now in development, and leakster Fixed Focus Digital has shared early renders of it on Weibo.

The Huawei Pocket 2 comes in three color options: solid black, Dark Purple (which appears to feature a leather texture), and Rococo White (with a marble-like appearance).

Similar to its predecessors, the phone features two circular elements on its back – the first being the camera island, and the second being the cover display. On the P50 Pocket and Pocket S, this cover display was a 1.04-inch circular OLED screen with a resolution of 340 x 340 pixels.

Regarding the camera island, it houses three lenses, although no specifics about these modules are currently available. While both the P50 Pocket and Pocket S featured a 40MP main camera and a 13MP ultra-wide camera, the P50 also included an unconventional 32MP camera designed to operate in the ultraviolet spectrum (primarily utilized for the Sunscreen Test feature).

It's plausible that Huawei will unveil the Pocket 2 alongside the upcoming Huawei P70 series - considering the P60 series was introduced in March last year - though historically, Pocket models tend to launch later in the year.
