HUAWEI Mate X6 launched Globally with 7.93-inch foldable and 6.45-inch outer 120Hz LTPO display, 48MP periscope telephoto camera
HUAWEI has launched its latest foldable smartphone, the HUAWEI Mate X6 in the global markets along with Nova 13 series, following its debut in China last month. The device features a 7.93-inch foldable screen with a peak brightness of 1800 nits, complemented by an outer 6.45-inch display boasting a peak brightness of 2500 nits. Both screens utilize a 1-120Hz LTPO OLED panel with 1440Hz high-frequency PWM dimming.
The exterior display is protected by 2nd Generation Kunlun Glass, while a carbon fiber inner screen plate enhances the durability of the interior display. The Mate X6 is built with a multi-dimensional hinge and a durable aviation-grade aluminum middle frame. According to HUAWEI, the Kunlun Glass offers 25 times greater drop resistance.
In terms of optics, the phone is equipped with a 50MP variable aperture camera, allowing a ten-step adjustable physical aperture from f/1.0 to f/4.0. It also integrates Ultra Chroma technology, utilizing 1.50 million spectral channels to enhance colour accuracy by up to 120%.
The Mate X6 runs EMUI 15.0, based on a forked version of Android AOSP, rather than HarmonyOS used in the Chinese model. It is expected to feature HUAWEI's Kirin chipset, but the global variant does not include 5G support.
