Huawei Honor 8 to cost Rs. 29,999 in India and Honor 8 Smart at Rs. 19,999 (Update!)

Huawei's Honor 8 smartphone with dual cameras is all set to launch in India on October 12th but even before the event we have information on pricing of the phone. According to Mumbai based retailer Mahesh Telecom, the Honor 8 is going to be priced at Rs. 29,999. He also added another smartphone to the list, the Honor 8 Smart, which would be a toned down version of the flagship priced at Rs. 19,999.

Update (07/10/2016): The source has deleted the tweet since writing this post, and for now we can only say these prices are speculative. We will know the actual pricing and availability of the Honor 8 at the October 12 launch event.

The Honor 8 comes with a 5.2-inch 1080p display covered in 2.5D curved glass running on the company's own Kirin 950 octa-core processor with 4GB RAM, 32GB onboard storage which is expandable with a microSD card. You have Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow running on the device with EMUI 4.1 on top.

The highlight of the device are the dual 12MP rear cameras with laser assisted autofocus and you also have an 8MP front camera for selfies. You also have a fingerprint sensor and Infrared sensor here too. It is a dual-SIM 4G VoLTE capable smartphone with dual-band WiFi, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS, NFC and USB Type-C port charging and data transfer. There's a 3000 mAh battery to keep the lights on but no fast charging. 

The Huawei Honor 8 will come in Sapphire Blue, Pearl White, Midnight Black and Sunrise Gold color options in India.
