HTC One for Verizon gets Android KitKat update

HTC has started rolling out Android 4.4 KitKat for the Verizon HTC One. The update brings the new Android core alongwith Sense 5.5. With the new update to the HTC One BlinkFeed gets a menu which makes accessing content faster, the menu can be accessed by swiping to the left on the BlinkFeed page. Location settings have been improved upon which now show all apps which use location and you can turn them on or off to save battery.

A Do Not Disturb feature has also been added which lets you block calls as well as turn off sounds, notifications and vibrations during your chosen time. This feature is available in Settings -> Sound -> Do Not Disturb. The music app has a new interface and some users also report that the low-light imaging using the UltraPixel camera have also been improved.

If you haven't received the update notification yet, just wait for a while. You can also go into Settings -> Phone Update -> Check for Update and if available Download Now on a WiFi connection since this is a large update and will take some time to install as well. But before everything make sure your phone has more than 50% charge.
