Honor X40 GT Racing Edition to be launched on September 21st with 6.81-inch 144Hz FullHD+ LCD screen, Snapdragon 888 SoC

Honor introduced its latest smartphone the Honor X40 GT last year October. Now, they will be accompanied by the Racing Edition on September 21 in China. The standard X40 GT is available in three different colors. In contrast, the X40 GT Racing Edition will come in two versions. Both of these editions feature vertical stripes that run along the length of the back panel, similar to the standard Racing Black model. However, the "Matrix AI Vision Camera" text is positioned on the stripe rather than encircling the camera island.

Honor has not yet provided specific details regarding the hardware distinctions between the standard X40 GT and the Racing Edition. However, the JD.com listing for the Racing Edition suggests that it will offer 12GB of RAM and 512GB of onboard storage, which differs from the standard model that comes in two memory configurations: 8GB/256GB and 12GB/256 GB.

Assuming the other specifications remain the same as the X40 GT, the X40 GT Racing Edition will feature the Snapdragon 888 SoC, based on Android 12-based Magic UI 6.1, and sport a 6.81-inch 144Hz FullHD+ LCD screen.

The smartphone will be equipped with a 4,800 mAh battery that supports 66W charging, feature a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, and house a quad-camera setup comprising a 50MP primary camera, a 2MP macro camera, a 2MP depth sensor, and a 16MP front-facing camera.

We should know more details and the exact price of the phone within the launch just two days away.
