HONOR Power2 to be launched on January 5th with Dimensity 8500 Elite SoC, Massive 10,080mAh Battery
HONOR has officially announced the launch of its next Power series smartphone, the HONOR Power2, in China on January 5, following rumours. The device will debut as the first smartphone powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8500 Elite chipset.
The HONOR Power2 is confirmed to feature a massive 10,080mAh fourth-generation silicon-carbon battery, surpassing the 10,000mAh unit used in the HONOR WIN series and setting a new benchmark for silicon-carbon battery capacity in smartphones. It will support 80W SuperCharge fast charging along with 27W reverse charging.
The phone will be available in Orange, White, and Black colour options, offered in 12GB + 256GB and 12GB + 512GB storage variants. Official images reveal a triple rear camera setup housed within a large camera module.
Codenamed Saber, the device is tipped to sport a 6.79-inch 1.5K (2640 × 1200 pixels) LTPS flat OLED display with up to 8000 nits peak brightness. Camera specifications are expected to include a 50MP primary rear sensor and a 16MP front camera. Despite the huge battery, the phone is said to feature a metal frame, measure just 7.98mm in thickness, and weigh around 216g.
The HONOR Power2 is scheduled to launch in China on January 5, 2026, with additional details expected to be announced closer to the release.
