Honor Note 8 breaks the stereotype of what you call a smartphone with a massive 6.6-inch display
Huawei has launched its Honor Note 8 smartphone in China which packs a huge 6.6-inch Quad-HD Super AMOLED display running on the company's own Kirin 955 octa-core SoC packing 4 Cortex-A72 cores clocked at 2.5GHz and another 4 Cortex-A53 cores clocked at 1.8GHz. The display is protected by a layer of 2.5D curved layer of glass.
There's 4GB RAM onboard here and choice of 32GB/64GB or 128GB of internal storage which is further expandable with a microSD card slot up to 128GB. The Honor Note 8 runs on Android Marshmallow out of the box with EM UI 4.1 which we have already seen on the Honor 5C here in India. Being specifically made for the Chinese and Asian markets, it is a dual-SIM 4G LTE capable phablet with a hybrid slot arrangement.
Surprisingly the company has been able to make the device super thin at just 7.18mm packing a larger 4500 mAh battery which supports fast charging over the USB Type-C port. Given the size of the phone, its weight of 219 grams is quite commendable as well. They haven't skimped on connectivity options either, there's 3G with VoLTE support, dual-band WiFi ac, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS, NFC and a fingerprint sensor at the back.
Talking about the back you have a 13MP rear camera with f/2.0 aperture and Optical Image Stabilization (OIS). It is accompanied by an 8MP front-facing camera.
