HONOR Magic V foldable phone to be launched on January 10 Globally with Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC, 50MP Triple Rear Cameras
Today, HONOR has confirmed that the launch of its first foldable phone the HONOR Magic V on January 10th in the Global Market, after its first flip phone HUAWEI P50 Pocket that was launched back in December. The teaser image also shows a triple rear camera setup and a textured design on the back panel. According to several reports, this flagship foldable phone will be run on the flagship Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor, which makes it the first foldable smartphone in the world that has the latest top-end Snapdragon chip.
Based on recent rumors, the phone will come with a 6.5-inch OLED 120Hz curved outer display, an 8-inch 90Hz foldable inner display. It runs on the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor, based Android 12 with Magic UI 6.0, and features a 50MP triple rear camera setup. The phone is also said to come with a new ultra-thin hinge structure tech that will have a minimal crease with stereo speakers and be powered by a 5100mAh battery that supports 66W fast charging.
HONOR CEO George Zhao in an official video has revealed that the brand has defined a new series of folding screen products, and it is expected that more than one folding screen mobile phone will be launched in the future. He said that the Magic V with its structural design will be the best folding screen mobile phone in the market.
All explain that the phone has a complex hinge technology, and the design is very complete in terms of screen conversion between large and small screens and the experience after opening. There will be software-level optimization.
