Google Pixel 9 Pro XL and Pixel 9 Appeared on Geekbench Listing with Tensor G4 SoC, up to 16GB RAM; Antutu Score leak
Google is preparing to launch its next Pixel 9 series smartphones including the Pixel 9 and Pixel 9 Pro XL, which have now appeared in Geekbench listings, after renders. It has provided insight into the performance and specifications of the Google Tensor G4 SoC. The listings reveal that the Pixel 9 Pro XL will feature 16GB of RAM, the highest ever for a Pixel phone, while the Pixel 9 will continue with 8GB of RAM.
The Tensor G4 SoC has a 1+3+4 configuration, differing from the Tensor G3's 1+4+4 setup. It includes a Cortex-X4 prime core clocked at 3.10GHz, four Cortex-A720 performance cores at 2.6GHz, and four Cortex-A520 power-efficient cores at 1.95GHz. It retains the Mali G715 GPU, which is expected to be faster and more powerful.
The Geekbench scores for the Pixel 9 Pro XL are 1950 for single-core and 4655 for multi-core, showing only a slight improvement over the Pixel 8 Pro with the Tensor G3.In contrast, the Pixel 9's benchmark scores are significantly lower, with 1590 for single-core and 3821 for multi-core.
Additionally, AnTuTu benchmark scores for the Pixel 9 (Tokay), Pixel 9 Pro (Caiman), and Pixel 9 Pro XL (Komodo) recently emerged from Russia, showing scores of 1.07 million, 1.14 million, and 1.17 million points, respectively.
