Google Pixel 9 Pro Fold launched in India at Rs.1,72,999 with 8-inch QHD+ 1-120 Hz Super Actua Flex OLED LTPO display, Tensor G4 SoC
Google has launched its latest and first foldable smartphone in the 9 series, the Pixel 9 Pro Fold, and has also been launched in India, as promised. It runs on the Google Tensor G4 chip, the foldable phone features a large 8-inch 120Hz LTPO OLED inner display and a 6.3-inch 120Hz OLED outer display. The device is protected by scratch-resistant Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 and has an IPX8 rating, allowing it to be submerged in water up to 1.5 meters deep for 30 minutes.
The Pixel 9 Pro Fold includes a fluid-friction hinge that allows it to open fully flat, and Google claims it is the thinnest foldable phone, measuring just 5.1 mm when unfolded. It has a multi-alloy steel frame with an aerospace-grade high-strength aluminium alloy cover and a silky matte glass back.
The foldable phone is equipped with a 48MP main camera with OIS, which can also be used as a selfie camera thanks to the front display. Additionally, it includes a 10.5MP ultra-wide camera and a 10.8MP telephoto camera with 5x optical zoom.
Other features include Pro controls, Super Res Zoom up to 20x, Add Me, Macro Focus, Night Sight, hands-free astrophotography, Dual Screen Preview, Tabletop mode for hands-free shots, and Made You Look. The Made You Look feature helps capture kids’ smiles by displaying an animation on the outer screen to grab their attention while taking a photo.

The price of the Google Pixel 9 Pro Fold is Rs. 1,72,999 for the 256GB model in India. In the U.S., it is priced at USD 1,799 (approximately Rs. 1,50,935). The company has announced that the device will be available later this year, though the exact release date has not been disclosed.
