Google Pixel 8a Promotional Materials Surfaced Online Before Launch
Google is poised to introduce the Pixel 8a smartphone at the upcoming Google I/O event, following the release of press renders. Android Headlines has now published new renders and promotional images, offering an extensive preview of the Pixel 8a's features.

Google highlights the Pixel 8a’s remarkable "AI-mazing" Pixel Camera, showcasing features like Best Take, Audio Magic Eraser, and Night Sight, which were previously seen on the Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro. Additionally, Google emphasizes Call Assist for call screening, email summaries, and Circle to Search. Under the hood, the Pixel 8a is powered by the Google Tensor G3 processor, with anticipated support for fast charging up to 27W or 30W, a notable improvement from the Pixel 7a's 18W.
The phone boasts IP67 certification for water and dust resistance, along with a commitment to provide "seven" years of security updates, distinguishing it from the flagship Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro. Additionally, the renders highlight the Google One VPN, despite its upcoming discontinuation on June 10. Launch Date?
The Pixel 8a is expected to become available shortly after the Google I/O event, with May 16 being a potential release date, following the event on May 14 and 15. The device is likely to be offered in Obsidian (black), Mint (green), Porcelain (light beige), and Bay (blue) colors, accompanied by matching silicon cases.
Prices are speculated to start at 518 USD (Rs. 43,200 approx.) for the 128GB model, while the 256GB variant could be priced at 579 USD (Rs. 48,290 approx.).
