Google Pixel 11a Specs and Images Surface Online; Expected to Launch in Q1 2027
The Google Pixel 11a, which is expected to join the company’s Pixel 11 lineup under the codename “Formosan,” has appeared in its first set of CAD-based renders shared by @OnLeaks. The leaked images suggest that Google will continue with a rear design similar to the one introduced with the Pixel 9a.
According to the leak, the Pixel 11a will measure 153.46 × 72.35 × 9mm, making it broadly similar in size to its predecessor, although it is expected to be slightly narrower. The smartphone is reportedly being developed in Obsidian (black), Fog (silver), Olive (green), and Frost (purple) finishes, though the final commercial colour names could change.
Earlier reports have suggested that Google could replace the Tensor G4 used in the Pixel 10a with a new Tensor G6 chipset. The processor is also expected to feature a MediaTek modem and be paired with the Titan M3 security chip. The device is tipped to offer 8GB of RAM along with 128GB and 256GB storage variants.
The Pixel 11a is also expected to retain a 6.3-inch FHD+ OLED HDR display with a 120Hz refresh rate. However, its peak brightness could reportedly rise to 3,350 nits, compared with 3,000 nits on the Pixel 10a.
For battery capacity, the upcoming phone is tipped to feature a 5,000mAh battery, slightly lower than the 5,100mAh unit reportedly found in the Pixel 10a. Details about the cameras remain unavailable at this stage, although the phone is expected to continue with a dual rear camera setup featuring 48MP and 13MP sensors.
The Pixel 11a is expected to debut in the first quarter of 2027. Due to rising memory costs, the smartphone could reportedly see a price increase over the Pixel 10a, with an expected starting price of around USD 600.
