Nothing CMF Phone 1 launching Soon Globally; Expected Dimensity 7300 SoC
Nothing has recently announced the imminent launch of CMF Phone 1. Previous rumors suggested that the phone would be a more budget-friendly variant of Phone 2a, featuring the same Dimensity 7200 SoC.
However, a fresh rumor indicates that it might instead feature a Dimensity 7300 SoC, newly introduced. This chip isn't a direct successor to the Dimensity 7200 but follows the Dimensity 7050, suggesting it should offer performance similar to the Snapdragon 778G+ found in Nothing Phone (1).
The chip was recently sighted in the upcoming OPPO Reno12 Pro, showcasing Geekbench 6 benchmark scores of 1043 for single-core and 2944 for multi-core, mirroring the expected performance in Nothing Phone (1).
Based on teasers, visual artist Rahul Janardhanan has crafted a concept image of the phone featuring a replaceable plastic back cover and a distinctive Nothing Lock for exclusive add-ons. According to earlier rumors, the phone is anticipated to boast a 6.67-inch 120Hz OLED display, a dual-camera setup on the rear comprising a 50MP primary sensor, and a 16MP front-facing camera.
Reportedly, the phone will come equipped with 8GB of LPDDR4x RAM and offer options for 128GB or 256GB of UFS 2.2 storage, with the possibility of expanding memory via a microSD card. It is also speculated to include a 5000 mAh battery with 33W fast charging, in contrast to the 45W support in Phone (2a).
CMF Phone 1 is rumored to start at USD 249 (approximately Rs. 20,785) for the 128GB model and is expected to launch in July 2024.
