Asus Zenfone Zoom to launch in India on January 22

Asus India has started sending out invites for the launch of the Zenfone Zoom in India. The event is scheduled for 2 days on January 22nd and January 23rd in Agra, India. The main focus here is on the camera of the phone which features 3X Optical Zoom, Laser Auto-focus, Optical Image Stabilization and dual-tone LED flash.

Rounding up the specs is a 5.5-inch 1080p IPS display covered in Corning Gorilla Glass 4 for protection, running on the Intel Atom Z3560/Z3590 quad-core SoC with 4GB LPDDR3 RAM, Android 5.1 Lollipop based ZenUI. There's a 5MP front-camera here too just like the original Zenfone 2. The Zenfone Zoom is expected to come with a 3000 mAh battery which support for fast charging.

We expect the Asus Zenfone Zoom to be priced around Rs. 26,000 given international pricing cues. This is going to be the key here, since this is a pretty crowded space with the OnePlus 2, YU Yutopia, Moto X Style, Nexus 5X providing excellent value for money.
