Asus Zenfone 4, Zenfone 5 and Zenfone 6 Android Lollipop update now rolling out
The wait is over, Asus is now rolling out Android 5.0 Lollipop update for the Zenfone 4, Zenfone 5 and Zenfone 6. A few weeks back we heard that the update might be delayed for a few months, but its good to see the first Zenfone series back on the update track.
Although Asus is rolling out the update over-the-air, you can also download the files necessary to update your Zenfone. Asus does say that some of the pre-installed apps available on your smartphone are incompatible and will be removed while others will be added with the update. You can check the release notes from the links at the end of the article.
Asus' new second-gen Zenfone 2 series is already available in the market and selling quite well, running Android 5.0 Lollipop right out of the box. Moreover, we are also hearing that the Padfone Infinity and Padfone S will get the update sometime later this year.
