Apple TV 4K (2026) launched; India price at Rs. 39,900 with Siri AI, A19 Chip
Apple has launched its next-generation Apple TV 4K streaming device in India and the global market, bringing upgraded processing power, hands-free voice controls, enhanced smart home capabilities, and expanded surround sound support.
Siri AI and Hands-Free Voice Control
The latest Apple TV 4K features Siri AI, a redesigned voice assistant powered by Apple Intelligence architecture. The updated interface offers a full-screen content discovery mode alongside a compact overlay that allows users to ask questions while watching videos. These queries can include information about actors, age ratings, and general trivia. When connected to an Apple Intelligence-compatible iPhone, Siri can also use personal context from communications to help users find previously recommended content.
The device features three integrated far-field microphones with echo-cancellation technology, enabling hands-free activation through “Siri” or “Hey Siri” voice commands. Users can interact with the assistant without reaching for the remote, even while media playback is in progress.
Hardware Performance: A19 Chip and Updated Remote
The new Apple TV 4K is powered by Apple's A19 chip, which is claimed to deliver up to 50% faster CPU performance and twice the GPU performance compared to the previous generation. The processor also incorporates a dedicated hardware decoder for the AV1 video codec, helping improve streaming efficiency at lower bitrates.
The included Siri Remote retains the previous model's physical design but adds Find My support with Precision Finding. This feature helps users locate a misplaced remote through directional guidance and audible alerts.
Audio Configurations and Smart Home Hub Features
For home theater setups, the new Apple TV 4K supports a four-speaker surround sound configuration. Users can connect four HomePod mini 2 speakers or four second-generation full-sized HomePods, arranged as matching front and rear pairs. The system automatically adjusts audio delays and volume levels according to room acoustics and speaker placement.
The device also functions as a smart home hub compatible with HomeKit and Matter, with Wi-Fi and Thread connectivity. Apple Intelligence can generate summarized notifications and descriptions for HomeKit Secure Video feeds. Compatible video doorbells can display picture-in-picture footage on the television, with support for two-way audio and remote lock controls.
Software, Privacy, and Hardware Materials
The updated Apple TV 4K continues to support Apple's existing services and features, including Apple Fitness+, Apple Arcade, FaceTime through Continuity Camera, and personalized iCloud photo screen savers.
Apple has also incorporated additional privacy protections. Microphone data is processed through hardware-level Secure Exclaves within the A19 chip, isolating audio inputs from tvOS and third-party applications. Siri AI requests that require cloud processing use Apple's Private Cloud Compute infrastructure, while HomeKit video recordings remain protected by end-to-end encryption.
The device also incorporates recycled materials across several components:

- All internal magnets contain 100% recycled rare earth elements.
- The thermal module incorporates 80% recycled aluminum.
- The remote's enclosure is made from 100% recycled aluminum.

Pricing and Availability
Pre-orders for the new Apple TV 4K are open in more than 30 regions, with general availability scheduled for Friday, November 13. In India, the streaming device is priced at Rs. 39,900.
