You can check the release notes in the source link at the end of this post. It's great to see Lenovo keep the tradition of faster updates alive with the new Moto G4 series.
Both phones were launched with Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow out of the box and would be among the first to receive Nougat updates after Nexus devices. Android 7.0 Nougat brings a lot of new features including native multi-window support, Vulkan API, quick reply in notifications and a new JIT compiler for faster app loads. There's an improved Doze mode as well for better battery life.
Motorola has also added some new experiences to the phone including a new Moto action which lets you swipe to shrink screen size, this would a rendition of one-handed mode on the device. You would now also be able to lock your Moto G4 Plus by tapping on the fingerprint sensor, this option can be found in Security.
The update should be rolling out gradually to Moto G4 devices in India, so stay tuned and we would love to hear if you have discovered any new features added with the update.
