Age of Empires: World Domination to come to Android, iOS and Windows Phone
Age of Empires, which rewrote the book on classic strategy games is coming to your smartphone. Age of Empires: World Domination will be available on Android, iOS and Windows Phone. Microsoft has licensed the game to be developed by Japan's KLab Global who are credit with games like Fantastic Eleven, Crystal Casters, Eternal Uprising, and Lord of the Dragons. They will port the RTS multiplayer game to the three major mobile platforms.
Age of Empires: World Domination is expected to be available later this summer where you will lead the Celts, Huns, Franks, and Vikings through battles. You will also get to meet King Arthur, Cnut the Great, Joan of Arc, and Attila the Hun. The game will let you play a campaign with several conquerors and kings, who will oversee the growth of your empire. There's a lot of history thrown in there as well including native housing, clothing, armors, insignia and everything else in between.
The graphics do seem a bit cartoony, which you can see in the trailer above but the focus here is more on the story arc and its development rather than how well the game looks, and it does look good.
