Xiaomi Mi Pad offers great specs at a great price. It has a brilliant 2K display, unheard-off in this price point alongwith the very powerful NVIDIA Tegra K1 chipset. But that power comes at a price, the Mi Pad does heat-up while gaming but not in general use. There's a microSD Card slot to expand storage but this is just a WiFi tablet. Its a good tablet for anyone looking to get some work done, watch movies or play games. But the 4:3 aspect ratio causes letter-boxing in videos, moreover a few apps are not compatible with this aspect ratio and you see a bit of non-uniform stretching. The build in general is good, but you do see a bit of creaking towards the sides. Generally I stay away from taking images with a tablet, its plain awkward holding such a huge device, but the Mi Pad has some competent cameras even though the camera interface is too rudimentary. Overall, the pricing, display, battery-life and performance make the Xiaomi Mi Pad a good choice for a non-voice calling tablet.
